Our Establishment grant supports research projects that help you get your health research program established within the province so you can achieve the research productivity necessary to obtain longer-term, more substantial funding from other sources and continue working towards better health for Saskatchewan residents and beyond.

Overview
Have you completed your doctoral degree within the past three years and are looking for more specialized training to advance your research career and develop your skills as an independent investigator? Are you an experienced, active, health researcher in Saskatchewan looking for highly qualified personnel? Our fellowship award provides two years of salary support and an allowance for research professional development to research fellows and supervisors who apply together with a proposed project.

Overview
Are you a PhD trainee or post-doctoral fellow studying health services and policy or a related field looking to apply your research and analytical talents to a specific health policy challenge at a Saskatchewan host institution? SHRF is partnering with CIHR’s Institute of Health Services and Research to advance the development of Saskatchewan’s health services and policy research talent and enhance capacity for the integration of policy research into decision-making.
Funding AvailableDoctoral Award - $50,000 per year for maximum 1 year ($45,000 salary, $5,000 professional development/research allowance); For Saskatchewan applicants, SHRF will contribute the full 30% partner contribution for doctoral trainees working with public and not-for-profit organizations and half of the 30% partner contribution for a post-doctoral fellow working with a public or not-for-profit organization. |
