Are you someone who can lead meaningful collaborations between researchers, decision makers, patients, families, communities and clinicians to facilitate the creation, exchange and uptake of patient-oriented research? SHRF and SCPOR will support patient-oriented research leaders, at any career stage, who will exemplify and champion the mandate and goals of SCPOR by leading a research program in the areas of indigenous health and/or mental health and addictions.

Do you have an idea that inspires? The Lung Association of Saskatchewan (LAS) and SHRF have partnered to fund research grants throughout Saskatchewan in support of the new Respiratory Research Center (RRC) with the shared goal of “discovery for healthy breathing”. This grant will support inter-disciplinary teams doing human health and translational research projects with the aim of applying that knowledge for the benefit of patients.

Our Establishment grant supports research projects that help you get your health research program established within the province so you can achieve the research productivity necessary to obtain longer-term, more substantial funding from other sources and continue working towards better health for Saskatchewan residents and beyond.

Have you completed your doctoral degree within the past three years and are looking for more specialized training to advance your research career and develop your skills as an independent investigator? Are you an experienced, active, health researcher in Saskatchewan looking for highly qualified personnel? Our fellowship award provides two years of salary support and an allowance for research professional development to research fellows and supervisors who apply together with a proposed project.
SHRF programs evolve as the research environment in Saskatchewan changes and a greater emphasis is placed on innovation and collaboration.
